You Have Three Fee Options

Straightforward and accessible to anyone regardless of asset level.


We operate as an independent Registered Investment Adviser, under a personal fiduciary commitment to our clients. Providing good advice, at a fair price, with the least possible conflicts of interest is core to our mission.


Option 1: Monthly Subscription, aka "Flat Fee", aka "Fee Only" 

For investment management + financial planning.


We created a flat-fee option because people with assets and people without assets (but working on building) each deserve guidance.


You have the option of choosing a flat-fee service level, or the fee-based "assets under management" (AUM) fee model. We encourage prospective clients to compare fees across the industry and make an informed decision.


Mission Advisory Group does not take custody of your assets, and does not accept commissions.


Also, for clients who only want investment management, and do not opt for financial planning services, they can  use the AUM fee model at any account size.  The minimum account required for the combined investment management + financial planning services, when choosing the AUM model is $88,500, which qualifies for the Explorer Level of services. At a client asset level of $400,000+ (aggregate, household), the fees switch solely to the AUM model, as the equivalent fee would automatically qualify for the list of investment management and financial planning services at the Torchbearer Level.


Under an AUM fee model, the fees come directly from the investment accounts. Under the flat-fee model (listed below), there is no account or household minimum.


Explorer Level - $59 per month.

Digitized 360º service with a human connection.

Ideal for clients who do not yet have significant assets, but have basic financial planning needs and a single/household income range of $65,000-120,000.


Services Provided:

  • No minimum asset level to become a client.
  • Access to institutional model money management and advanced asset management.
  • Access to award-winning, fully-digital, mobile financial planning app for tracking “and dashboarding" client’s entire financial picture.  It includes financial goal tracking, account aggregation, tax optimization, cash flow analysis, budgeting, financial projections and planning, liabilities & loan management, social security projections, life insurance, etc.
  • Onboarding meeting sequence (generally 2) to help you analyze your financial situation, guide with planning/solutions, get you set up on tech, transfer accounts, etc.
  • One annual investment analysis on all of your additional investment accounts. Includes 401k’s, 403b’s, HSA’s, 529’s, and other types of accounts.
  • Ability to directly manage your 401k for an additional fee equivalent to 0.25% annually of 401k assets. Our tech partner, Pontera, provides the secure portal for us to manage your 401k. Their all-in fee is quoted above, and is charged directly to MAG. We arrange the fee payment directly with you, the client.
  • Event rebalancing notice for special situations such as major economic changes and real-time market alerts when deemed necessary.
  • No commissions or platform fees.
  • Access to expanded financial education through videos, podcast series, and special events on timely financial education topics cultivated from experts across multiple industries.
  • Ability to arrange special purpose calls and meetings (on-retainer system).
  • Access to book hourly 1-on-1 financial consulting sessions on values, vision, and goals work. And/or helping individuals, couples, families, and organizations facilitate better communication regarding finances.  Hourly sessions are priced at $125.

Trailblazer Level - $159/month.

The base level of full planning.

Ideal for clients with slightly more complex planning needs and a single/household annual income range of $110,000-200,000.


Services Provided:

  • No minimum asset level to become a client.
  • Access to institutional model money management and advanced asset management.
  • Access to award-winning, fully-digital, mobile financial planning app for tracking “and dashboarding" client’s entire financial picture.  It includes financial goal tracking, account aggregation, tax optimization, cash flow analysis, budgeting, financial projections and planning, liabilities & loan management, social security projections, life insurance, etc.
  • Onboarding meeting sequence (generally 3 at this level) to help you analyze your financial situation, guide with planning/solutions, get you set up on tech, transfer accounts, etc.
  • Semiannual investment analysis on all of your additional investment accounts. Includes 401k’s, 403b’s, HSA’s, 529’s, and other types of accounts.

  • Semiannual financial planning meetings.
  • Business planning assistance, if small business owner.
  • Two deep dive consulting sessions on individual and shared values and vision, helping individuals, couples, families, and organizations create and work toward better-aligned goals. (addt'l sessions avail by the hour).
  • Commission-free advanced insurance planning for life policies and annuities.
  • Tax Planning: tax strategy and optimization.
  • Ability to have taxes prepared by our partner CPA team for a one-time additional fee.
  • Estate Planning: a will-based planning session jointly with us, guided by our expert partners in estate planning.

Torchbearer Level - $259/month.

The advanced level of full planning.

Ideal for clients with complex planning needs and a single/household annual income range of $200,000+ who need estate planning services, advanced insurance planning, intergenerational / legacy wealth planning, and ongoing support of complex financial planning.


Services Provided:

  • No minimum asset level to become a client.
  • Access to institutional model money management and advanced asset management.
  • Access to award-winning, fully-digital, mobile financial planning app for tracking “and dashboarding" client’s entire financial picture.  It includes financial goal tracking, account aggregation, tax optimization, cash flow analysis, budgeting, financial projections and planning, liabilities & loan management, social security projections, life insurance, etc.
  • Onboarding meeting sequence (generally 4-5 at this level) to help you analyze your financial situation, guide with planning/solutions, get you set up on tech, transfer accounts, etc.
  • Quarterly investment analysis on all of your additional investment accounts. Includes 401k’s, 403b’s, HSA’s, 529’s, and other types of accounts.
  • Ability to directly manage your 401k for an additional fee equivalent to 0.25% annually of 401k assets. Our tech partner, Pontera, provides the secure portal for us to manage your 401k. Some clients may find benefit in the efficiency of handling  financial planning, investment management, and tax preparation under one "virtual" roof by connected professional groups, communicating with each other, providing one point of service for payment, and creating one reporting stream. This fee is straight pass-through. You only pay to the CPA's what their fee is for service. We do not "gross up" the fee.
